About B. Scott Hoadley
Hi, I'm Brian. I'm an expat New Yorker who has called Southeast London home for over twenty years, and I've been telling stories for most of my life.
I grew up in upstate New York, spent time in Boston, and somewhere along the way picked up an MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College. Writing has always been the thread running through everything I do, even during the years when a career in digital consulting kept me busy enough that the novels had to wait their turn.
The Old Blood Saga started as a world I wanted to get lost in myself. A place where ancient magic and hidden realms sit just beneath the surface of the everyday, where vampires, fae, demons, and Weavers navigate an uneasy peace that is always one spark away from war. Five books later, with the sixth and final book on the way, it has become the most rewarding creative project of my life.
I'm currently working toward a transition to full-time writing, a five-year plan that began in 2023 and is very much on track. The Old Blood Saga is the foundation of that journey, and every reader who picks up The Weaver is part of making it happen.
When I'm not writing fiction, I work as a digital consultant, co-host a podcast called Being Liminal with my friend Martin, and am planning my next big adventure; a move to Poland with my partner.
I'd love to have you along for the ride.
